5 Ways to Build Your Incoming Links

5 Ways to Build Your Incoming Links

5 Ways to Build Your Incoming Links

By William Kroye Dapper

Are you looking to build the number of incoming links to your site? I have prepared 5 steps to build incoming links to your website or to your blog.

1.Reciprocal Linking - Link unto others as you would have them link unto you. One of the best ways to get on the radar of other bloggers is to talk (and to) them on your own blog. Generous out linking has a way of having pay offs to those doing the linking. Your primary aim should not be with the hope of getting links out of it but to find quality content to feed your visitors and your readers will love you too!

2. Article Directories - I really love this one. It works like magic. However m any have complained that it is less effective in terms of SEO these days due to the search engines discounting duplicate content - however it could bring in a few new readers if the articles get posted on the right site.

3. Social Media Sites - Some think the best thing about sites like Digg, Reddit and Delicious is the rush of traffic that they can bring your site. However the secret sauce is in the secondary link ups that can come from being featured on such sites.

4. Guest Blogging - There are many great things about doing a guest post (or extended guest blogging spot) at another blog in your niche. For starters it has the potential to lift your profile - but the secondary benefits include any links that you might be able to include back to your own blog.

5. Commenting - As you comment on other blogs, people will find your blog url and give you a visit.

Rank Number 1 on Google

How To Rank Number One On Google

How To Rank Number One On Google

Your purpose here I’ll assume, is to get information on what’s most likely the most popular subject related to SEO, and that’s rank high in the search engines. If you read this sites information, keep updated on all the new areticles and most importantly, Apply the concepts, you’ll start seeing some amazing results in the search engines, specifically Google.

To start off with explain a little on getting websites to rank well in the search engines, with the emphasis on Showing You How To Rank Number 1 On Google.

It’s important to read the information below, though do not stress out about not understanding any of it. Take your time, and re-read the material untill it becomes clear.

Search engines rank websites in their indexes relative to votes cast by other websites in the form of hypertext links from one site to another. Its like a popularity vote. The more votes the better, or the more links the better. Though its not as simple as that: other considerations are the quality of the votes supplied.

The quality of votes supplied means:

1) The previous ranking by the search engines of the website that is providing the link to your website.

2) The demographic of the votes cast, meaning the age of the website casting the vote. An existing website that has been acknowledged by search engines as an authority website, that has been around for say 5 years will cast a stronger vote than another website that is only 12 months old etc.

3) The location of the website casting the vote. If there are many websites casting votes to your website from many different places around the world, this shows to the search engines that your website has a wide audience and then grants it higher rankings accordingly.

The opposite of this would be 50 domains hosted on just one server, each with links pointing to your website. This situation in the past used to work well though these days does not help get your website ranking highly for competitive terms in the search engines.

The best case scenario is to get a LOT votes or links from previously aged, high trafficked, high ranking websites from all around the world casting votes via links to your website. This is the recipe for success in getting your website ranked for competitive terms that supply free search engine traffic to your website.

After linking to your website, we need to address several “On Page” items:

On page Search Engine Optimisation and Title Tags…

Keyword in URL…

Anchor text or Link Names…

Semantic relation to keyword phrases.

1. Onpage SEO and Title Tags.

The absolutely most important part about getting websites ranked highly in the search engines is a great backlinking program. Though maximum efficiency is achieved by utilising the same anchor text in the links pointing to your website, be it the domain itself or sub directories within it and the same keyword phrase that is in the anchor text, in the title of the website you are promoting.

Each webpage of your site has what’s called a title tag. e.g if you view the source of any webpage, you will see the title tag like this Website title goes here .

I would go as far as saying, that unless you have your chosen keyword phrase in this title tag, you will have very little chance of ranking well for your chosen keyword phrase.

I will explain below and in other supplied documents how you can maximise your use of adding multiple keyword phrases in one title tag to get multiple high listings from just one webpage. Additionally the anchor text of the links pointing to your site, should reflect they keyword phrase/s listed in your title tags.

2. For the purpose of this article we will focus on what is required to both get rankings in the search engines, and in time Rank Number 1 On Google in your niche.

FIRST:

Domain name. For best results, having your targeted keyword phrase in the domain name is a Huge Plus when targeting competitive niches in the search engines, not 100% required,

though why make the process any more difficult than needed, when possible I always try to get my chosen keyword phrase in the domain name.

In my next article in a few days I’ll give you an example and proof of a site ranking at the top of the search engine using this technique, and the site has NO Backlinks.

SECOND:

Keyword phrase in URL. e.g. domain.com/keyword-phrase/ I use the keyword phrase in URL in most sites I promote in the search engines. Typically for any main keyword phrase we are targeting, there are Many more related keyword phrases.

My domain will have the top level keyword phrase in it, and over time I will then promote the sub keyword phrases individually. e.g my first promotion will be keywordphrase.com then

once I have achieved the rankings for this term I will then proceed to promote keywordphrases.com/2ndkeyword- phrase/ URL in my related sites.

Once I have gained rankings for this 2nd term, I will then promote keywordphrase.com/3rdkeyword- phrase/ in the search engines using my software. The list is ever growing, On my main money earning websites, I continue to promote these with new related niches found. I will explain how to find these related niches later on this site.

Additionally I like to have domains with my keyword phrase in them, because I can then place links to my domain on sites that do not grant the ability to provide anchor text, only the domain name itself.

And from a domain with my keyword phrase in it, I get the benefit of the anchor text in the domain itself helping my site to rank well for that chosen term. e.g.

www.studentdebtsrelief.com has the keyword phrase students debt relief in it. Compared to www.greatsites.com If my product is an Iphone, dropping the link www.greatsites.com

will not help me rank for the term iphones.

3. If you are experienced with seo, go to No 3. Anchor Text is the name we give the link to our website. e.g. How To Rank Number 1 On Google is a hyper link, the name of the link

is “How To Rank Number 1 On Google” the domain it is linking to is http://howtoranknumberoneongoogle.com/ the HTML code for this link is:

How To Rank Number 1 On Google

The reason I explain this is, because the search engines rank your website according to the name of the links pointing to your website.

4. Semantic relation to keyword phrases, huh? This is a term coined by peter drew, which is providing semantically related keyword phrases as anchor text in link promotions.

Let me preface this section by stating, Google has some of the brightest minds on the earth working on the search engine ranking algorithms. Their goal is to rank websites by a voting system that is provided by human interaction. Doing the best to have the voting system reflecting a mass human interaction on the Internet.

They achieve this by using their massive resources to interrogate the data provided to them. So its our goal to provide a linking structure that appears as individually humanly created as possible. In the past you could create 1000 backlinks pointing to your website using just the one keyword phrase.

Eventually, though the search engines caught up and recognised this as a non human activity and now rank the site accordingly, or apply a penalty for this.

So today to achieve maximum results from a massive linking campaign by providing a variety of related keyword phrases as anchor text all pointing to our designated URL, though still providing a higher % of links using our main keyword phrase as the majority anchor text.

Ok, so our task of How To Rank Number 1 On Google To Make Money Online can be easier than we think however, there is a certain amount of quality seo that you need to do.

Continue to follow these articles on How To Rank Number One on Google and in a very short period of time you can be making Money Online fast, just by promoting your products on your Top Ranked Site.

Does Google PageRank Count Anymore?

Author: Titus Hoskins

Copyright (c) 2009 Titus Hoskins

Being a full-time SEM (Search Engine Marketer) I have been conditioned like Pavlov's dog (not a pretty picture) to jump every time Google twitches. Lately Google has been doing a lot of twitching.

Specifically, the rather startling news from Google Webmaster Trends Analyst Susan Moskwa that Google has ditched PageRank from Webmaster Tools.

"We've been telling people for a long time that they shouldn't focus on PageRank so much; many site owners seem to think it's the most important metric for them to track, which is simply not true," states Moskwa. "We removed it because we felt it was silly to tell people not to think about it, but then to show them the data, implying that they should look at it." (Source: WebProNews)

Now, for SEO reasons or for ranking in Google's index, PageRank has long been eunuchified by Google. However, even missing a few dangling bits, history has shown us, eunuchs still wheel tremendous power. PageRank is no different.

Regardless of what Google wants to happen, PageRank is still extremely important to anyone marketing on the web, especially if you're selling SEO services or operating a web business. Try selling SEO services when that little green bar on your site is pointing to PR0 or worst yet, pointing to a solid gray bar.

Obtaining a high PR7 or PR8 simply means more business and revenues... regardless of how Google is or is not using PageRank. People know how to count and they learned long ago, a ten is a lot more than a big fat zero.

Placed against a PR1 site, a PR8 will win more respect in the eyes of potential clients and can produce enormous profits for the site owner and we won't even mention the still widely practiced habit of selling links, which Google is desperately trying to stop. Total and full elimination of PageRank would be an honest start but it will still be an uphill, if not an unwinnable battle, for Google to fully eliminate link selling.

Even with my modest sites, I have turned down a small fortune by not selling text links on any of my sites. When I had a PR6 site instead of a PR4 - those link requests were nearly doubled. So one can easily understand Google's position and the need to downplay PageRank, if they want to put even a small dent in all this link selling and buying, which is still running rampant on today's web.

PageRank is Google's creation, and unless they remove it fully from their system and the Google toolbar, then PageRank still Counts. Actually, in the whole scheme of marketing your website on the net, PageRank counts big time. And in more ways than one.

There are several reasons why you shouldn't count PageRank out.

For years Google has been downplaying the important of PageRank and states it's only one of about 200 ranking factors which determines how Google ranks its index for keywords. Obtaining top organic rankings for popular lucrative keywords in Google simply means money in the bank. Actually, even a movement of only one or two places on those first page SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) can make a major difference to any online marketer's bottom line.

Now while you can have a lower PR number and still rank above other higher PR pages for your chosen keywords, I have even had many times when my PR drops but my actual SERPs rankings in Google goes up, mainly due to building related relevant backlinks. So PageRank counts little towards your keyword rankings but it can't be totally dismissed.

Mainly because, even if PR is just one ranking factor, in close competitive keyword battles (I am presently fighting tooth and nail for some very choice keywords) just one ranking factor such as high PR can make the difference of whether or not you get to the top spot. Big dogs are still jumping and for those of us who know how to count, getting a number one spot in Google makes all the difference in the world.

Not only because Google controls roughly 80% of all search engine traffic, but more importantly Google has established unmatched credibility and brand recognition in the eyes of potential customers visiting your site. Web users trust Google. Web users look to Google for guidance and direction. Web users believe what Google is telling them. In the online world, rightly or wrongly, perception is everything.

As an online marketer, I am completely amazed each day at the marketing power Google now commands with web surfers and with the general population. Google is king of online search and no other search engine even comes close to Google.

PageRank is Google's ranking system, and in the eyes of those who notice these things, it still wheels tremendous influence and power. By default, PageRank is Google's opinion of your site, and web users can count (at least to 10) and if Google believes people are still not counting when it comes to PageRank, then they are fully mistaken.

How I rank my blog top 10 using the expression Melayu Boleh online

by Damien XCV

One of my niches such as Melayu Boleh is in fact to utilized in online advertising in order to obtain the paramount of rankings among search engines. However sometimes, webmaster tend to abuse the system by stuffing the website with keyword contents in order to get a better ranking. This type of methods generally will get harsh results from search engine as users generally do not get what they need in the result.

In order to settle this issue, search engine websites have customized the algorithm to fight spammy websites by determining the website contents. At present, the majority tools focus on utilization of keyword has not shifted to quality content article. For that reason your keyword ratio should only average about 12% of the total article. The major reason for this entire different in using keyword is to prevent the process of abusing keyword stuffing by the search engine sites. For example if I have an article that consists of 500 words and you have an important word such as Melayu Boleh, the search engines will know that your article is regarding this expression.

One of the greatest way to write articles to make sure that the contents are engaging to the reader. The only way to do that is to write quality contents. However in order to include some key characteristic of SEO in your article you will require to incorporate several techniques. For example I do not include the word Melayu Boleh in all paragraph. I do not want to stuff this word in all paragraph as this might offer of a red flag to the search engines.

Studies show that if you are trying to sell a product you should create an article on how you can aid a person buy it. You should also try to keep the reader’s attention on the product. Once you know this information you will know that writing informative and quality content is actually important. That is why SEO is critical in internet marketing.

What's more it is important to incorporate your keywords as standard as possible. Do not forcefully put in your keywords as it will make your article not pleasant to read. You should focus on the superiority of the content. Another way to enhance on your article is to steer clear of spelling blunder or easy grammar errors. In some cases, English is not everyone main language. However this can be easily solve with a suitable software such as MS word or Open Office Word..

However there might be some occasions that you are too busy to compose your articles. You might be able to hire a ghostwriter to do it. However I still like it better to write my articles online although it might be time consuming. I still prefer the personal touch to all my articles.

Damien is the webmaster of Anak Melayu Boleh related to the success of Malay.

Bing-Optimizing Websites For The Decision Engine

by Kabir Bedi

The world of search engine has been dominated by Google. Search engine optimization as a process primely focuses on optimizing websites for Google. However, with the entry of new search engines like Bing, the search engine world is all set to get changed.Bing, the latest entrant in the search engine arena had quite a grand launch. In an extremely short time, Bing has become quite popular with the web users. This definitely marks the changing world of Search where users are seeking new and innovative search options. More and more users are using Bing to search for information on the world wide web and therefore, website owners are increasingly seeking to optimize their web presence for the same.Search Engine Optimization for BingThere is not much difference between optimizing websites for Google and for Bing. Although the search results on both the search engines are different, both of them employ similar techniques to gauge the quality and relevancy of websites and include them in the SERPs. In fact, the difference between the search results of Google and that of Bing lies in their mode of presentation. In spite of the different algorithms of Google and Bing, both the search engines prefer quality and relevant web pages that contain great content. And quite obviously both of them detest spam and unethical optimization techniques. In fact, the crawling process of Bing is quite similar to its predecessor Live Search. Here are some key considerations you should keep in mind while optimizing websites for Bing:Presentation of Search ResultsPresentation of the SERPs is the prime difference between the two search engines, Google and Bing. Unlike Google, Bing separates the results into specific categories. In addition, it has a navigational menu on the left hand side of the results that corresponds with categories of the SERPs. Therefore, you should optimize appropriate categories on your website so that it appears in the relevant categories of Bing search results. By optimizing for specific categories, you will have better chances of having a higher rank than if you optimize on a generic front. It is more important to get good rankings in the right categories rather than getting on top of the generic search results. And for this, you would need to have quality and highly relevant content on your web pages. This would also boost your rankings in Google and other search engines.Quality of LinksIncoming links are another important feature that Bing takes into consideration while determining the importance of website. It should be noted that the quality of links is more important than the quantity of links. That is to say that having a couple of links from highly relevant websites would do more good than a group of links from irrelevant websites. Also, don't link to websites whose content you cannot yourself endorse. In fact all the websites you link to should be relevant to your site or at least to the page you are linking to.Avoid Unethical SEO PracticesUnethical SEO techniques or 'black-hat' SEO as it is popularly called is totally shunned by Bing. So avoid scrupulous like keyword stuffing, hidden text, linking to bad neighborhoods etc.Search engine optimization, as a process is still the same, be it optimizing for Bing or for Google. Just that Bing has a unique user interface design that provides more opportunities to the web users to find information easily and more efficiently!
